Synopsis
In the year 1872, a man by the name of Phileas Fogg makes a wager with his Reform Club members. He claims that he can travel around the world in eighty days and if not, Phileas loses £20,000. With him, he brings along his valet, Jean Passepartout, and just a carpet bag filled with his necessities. Somewhere along the way, he rescues an Indian woman named Aouda and has a detective following him. There were many complications but Phileas acts as if these blocks in the road were all part of the plan. His entire fortune is almost exhausted, but the pros heavily outweigh the cons. He gains a day traveling eastward across the meridians and makes it back right on time, shocking everyone who did not believe Phileas Fogg could do it.
